I was glad that I changed my plan to go to Pondicherry in early February 2020. My friend Xavier Benedict advised me go to the Dutch fort and cemetery in Matchillipatnam (Masulipatnam in VOC records). It was the first time that I heard about this site in my more than 30 years documenting the shared Indian-Dutch heritage.
